Danny DeVito is an American actor, producer, and director, who was born on November 17, 1944, in Neptune Township, New Jersey. He is well known for his short stature, standing at just 4 feet 10 inches tall. DeVito attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and began his career on stage in the off-Broadway production of "The Man with the Flower in His Mouth."
He rose to fame as an actor in the late 1970s with his role as Louie De Palma in the TV series "Taxi." He has since appeared in numerous TV shows and films, including "Terms of Endearment," "Batman Returns," "Matilda," "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," and most recently, "Dumbo."
DeVito has also been successful as a producer and director, with his work including the TV series "Reno 911!" and the films "Throw Momma from the Train" and "Duplex." He has won several awards for his acting and producing work, including a Golden Globe award and an Emmy award.
